A charity golf tournament tees off Oct. 18 at the Brentwood Country Club in Beaumont, benefiting research efforts at Baylor College of Medicine for a cure for Parkinson's disease.

The Dr. Sol and Miriam Rogers Memorial Golf Tournament features a scramble competition for two groups of participants (open and senior). A 2004 Ford Explorer will be given away to the first player to hit a hole-in-one. A drawing and silent auction also will be held.

Entry rates are $125 per person or $500 per team. Proceeds from the event will support a research endowment at the Parkinson's Disease Center and Movement Disorders Clinic at Baylor College of Medicine.
