Dr. Joshua M. Shulman; Principal Investigator, Assistant Professor of Neurology, Neuroscience, and Molecular & Human Genetics

Dr. Joshua Shulman, assistant professor of neurology and molecular and human genetics at Baylor College of Medicine and the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute at Texas Children's Hospital, was awarded a $100,000 New Investigator Research Grant from the Alzheimer's Association Houston and Southeast Texas Chapter.

The award will be given over two years to support Shulman's project, "Genome Instability as a Novel Link Between Aging and Alzheimer's Disease." The research is designed to reveal new insights into disease mechanisms, with the potential to identify novel treatment strategies.
