A free educational symposium on Alzheimer's disease will take place Thursday, featuring a neurology expert from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

"Update on Alzheimer's Disease" will provide current information about research on the disorder. The speaker will be Dr. Rachelle Doody, Effie Marie Cain Chair in Alzheimer's Disease Research at BCM.

The event is supported by BCM, the Alzheimer's Association, and Area Agency on Aging.

The program is free and open to the public, taking place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. (registration starts at 6:15 p.m.) at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, One Herman Circle Dr. Surface parking adjacent to the museum is free while covered parking is $8.
