Dr. Joseph Jankovic, a professor of neurology and distinguished chair in movement disorders, was selected by the National Institutes of Health as the "Great Teacher" and presented a special NIH Clinical Center Grand Rounds on "Treatment of Parkinson's Disease".

In their letter of invitation, Dr. John Gallin, Director, NIH Clinical Center, and Dr. Michael M. Gottesman, Deputy Director for Intramural Research, stated that "the goal of the Great Teacher series is to bring up-to-date information on important clinical topics to both clinical practitioners and research physicians".

In his letter of thanks for "such an outstanding and well received presentation", Dr. Jeffrey Cohen, chair of the NIH Great Teachers series, stated "reviewing the CME evaluations for your talk, your received nearly all 5/5 ratings". Comments included "an excellent speaker, "a wonderful talk", and "a great speaker".
