Dr. Jeffrey L. Noebels; Professor of Neurology, Neuroscience, and Molecular and Human Genetics

Please join me in congratulating Jeffrey Noebels, M.D., Ph.D. for his recent appointment to the Cullen Trust for Health Care Endowed Chair, Department of Neurology, Baylor College of Medicine.

Jeffrey L. Noebels, M.D., Ph.D. has been appointed to the Cullen Trust for Health Care Endowed Chair by the Board of Trustees, Baylor College of Medicine at their meeting Jan. 27, 2010. Dr. Noebels is a professor of neurology, molecular and human genetics, and neuroscience and serves as vice-chair for research, Department of Neurology, BCM. He also founded and currently serves as director of the Blue Bird Circle Developmental Neurogenetics Laboratory, Department of Neurology, BCM. Dr. Noebels is recognized for his exceptional contributions to neurological disease research and to the education of young physicians and neuroscientists at Baylor College of Medicine over the past two decades. He has achieved preeminent national and international recognition for his research and leadership in discovering the genes and basic mechanisms underlying epilepsy, the most common serious disorder of the human nervous system. The Cullen Trust for Health Care was created by the Cullen Foundation in the 1970’s and has provided major support to BCM since its founding.
