Victor Rivera, MD, a professor of neurology at Baylor College of Medicine and attending and deputy chief of neurology at The Methodist Hospital, was recently named 2002 volunteer of the year by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS).

Rivera was recently appointed to two NMSS boards, including the national council of clinical advisory committee chairs and the national medical advisory board.

Internationally known as an expert on multiple sclerosis, Rivera is medical director of the Baylor International Multiple Sclerosis Center at The Methodist Hospital.
