Dr. Victor Rivera, a professor of neurology at Baylor College of Medicine and medical director of the Maxine Mesinger Multiple Sclerosis Clinic at BCM and The Methodist Hospital, has been honored by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Rivera was inducted into the Society's 2003 Volunteer Hall of Fame in the Health Professional Category.

Rivera was inducted into the Hall of Fame on Nov. 13 at the Society's national conference for his work as an, "international soldier of good fortune in the fight against MS."

Rivera is attending and deputy chief of neurology at The Methodist Hospital and medical director of the neurology and surgical ENT/EYE Unit of the Neurosensory Center in Houston. He is also president of the Latin-American Committee for Treatment and Research in MS.
