Volunteer for a Flu Vaccine Study

The flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat and sometimes the lungs. Vaccination is currently the most effective way of controlling the flu. Researchers at the Baylor College of Medicine Vaccine Research Center are looking for volunteers to participate in a study evaluating an experimental adjuvant with an avian flu vaccine to see if it improves the response to the vaccine. You may be eligible if you are:

  • Between the ages of 18 and 45
  • In general good health
  • Able to come in for clinic visits and be available for phone calls
  • Able to participate for 12 months

Benefits of participating include: Compensation up to $600 for your time, parking reimbursement and you will receive the 2019/2020 seasonal flu vaccine. If interested, please submit a Volunteer Interest Form, call (713) 798-4912, or email us at FluVax@bcm.edu.
