ReDS Technology Evaluation (H-42380)
Background: Dyspnea is a common Emergency Department presentation, with an extensive differential diagnosis. Current standard of care tests are frequently time consuming, and expensive. The dielectric evaluation of lung water content has proven to be a reliable evaluation strategy to markedly narrow the differential diagnosis in patients presenting with shortness of breath. ReDS is a non-invasive, transcutaneous quantifiable measurement of lung water.
Purpose: Evaluate diagnostic accuracy of ReDS technology in determining lung fluid in patients with shortness of breath in the ED
