The Division of Vascular Surgery maintains an active research program that encompasses clinical trials, endovascular outcome assessment, translational research, and basic science investigations in vascular biology. Our research efforts have consistently resulted in publications in areas encompassing clinical interventions, translational research, and basic science investigations.
The Division of Vascular Surgery also actively participates in several clinical trials of new device technology for the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms, and peripheral arterial disease ensuring that the newest treatment options are available to patients with vascular disease. Our research efforts in clinical outcomes following surgical or endovascular treatment of aneurysms, dialysis interventions, lower extremity occlusive disease, and carotid disease, have helped define standards of care in vascular disease management.
