Olympic Gold winner teams up with Pituitary Center
Scott Hamilton was the guest speaker Sept. 10, 2013, at a pituitary disorders awareness event held by the Baylor College of Medicine Pituitary Center.
Hamilton shared a personal story of his battle with a pituitary tumor. He won gold in the 1984 Olympics and since then his winning attitude hasn't faltered, even as he faced the diagnosis of a tumor at the base of his brain.
He teamed up with Baylor College of Medicine to bring awareness to pituitary tumors including craniopharyngiomas and pituitary adenomas, as well as other pituitary disorders.
