BCM Global Programs to become a key pillar in the NIBIB’s Point-of-Care Technologies Research Network
The National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering’s (NIBIB) Point of Care Technologies Research Network (POCTRN) comprises six research centers spread across the country that help accelerate the development and public deployment of new point-of-care technology innovations! Baylor College of Medicine Global Programs and the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center are honored to serve as the clinical core of POCTRN’s newest center, the Center for Innovation and Translation of Point of Care Technologies for Equitable Cancer Care (CITEC). CITEC’s focus will be on helping to develop new early detection and point-of-care cancer screening technologies for low-resource settings around the world.
