Master
Content

All residents and fellows will receive the following:

  • Three work weeks of vacation
  • Two work weeks of sick time
  • Nine personal time off days which can be used for absences such as personal days, holidays or educational leave.

In addition, Baylor College of Medicine provides short-term disability insurance as a core benefit (free to trainees), which is designed to assist for longer periods of absence such as an extended illness or maternity leave.

If you will be taking a leave of absence you will need to work with your program coordinator to submit the leave of absence form to the Graduate Medical Education Office prior to your first day of leave.
