Match Day 2012 at BCM
Results for the 158 fourth-year medical students participating in BCM Match Day 2012 were as follows:
- 68 of the students in today’s match are entering primary care residency programs in the fields of family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, medicine/pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology or emergency medicine.
- 50 students matched with residency programs at Baylor College of Medicine, 71 matched with residency programs in Texas.
Match Day is a national program that pairs 4th-year medical students with residency programs throughout the nation. After receiving a medical degree, physicians enter a residency program for another three-seven years of training. Read the news release.
