Frequently Asked Questions

May I bring a guest to the event?
Yes, one guest may accompany you to the event. Guests may not check-in without the applicant.

What activities will my guest be able to participate in?
Your guest is able to participate in all of the activities except for the breakout sessions. During the breakout sessions, your guest will be able to attend the "Family/Significant Other Information Session".

What is the dress code?
Casual business attire is best. The Friday evening reception will be held outside in the courtyard so the weather is typically warm. For Saturday's event, there is significant walking involved if you sign up for a clinical tour so please wear comfortable shoes.

Do I need to bring anything to the event?
A picture ID is required to enter the campus.

What if I need to change my RSVP?
Please email ms-interviews@bcm.edu with any changes.

Will parking be validated?
Yes, parking will be validated if you park in a TMC parking garage. We recommend parking in garage 4 or 6.   You will need to bring your parking ticket to the event (Friday and Saturday) in order to get your parking validated.

I want to attend the event; however, I missed the RSVP deadline. Can I still attend?
At Baylor College of Medicine we hold the applicant accountable for meeting deadlines and because this event is extremely time-consuming to coordinate, we have to keep a firm RSVP deadline.

Will I get the two breakout sessions that I signed up for?
Most likely; however, some sessions fill up quicker than others. The earlier you RSVP, the better chance you'll have getting placed in the sessions that you signed up for.

Does Baylor College of Medicine cover travel expenses for this event?
No, travel expenses are the applicant's responsibility.
