SCBMB Annual Research Conference
Every winter, students and faculty gather for a one-day research conference consisting of presentations by students - both talks and posters.
Date: Feb. 20, 2014
"Molecular Tools for Dissecting Brains and other Cellular Systems"
Loren Looger, Ph.D.
HHMI, Janelia Farm Research Campus
Conference Location: Onstead Auditorium, Room S3.8012, 3rd floor (Skybridge Level) of the George and Cynthia Mitchell Basic Sciences Research Building. The building is located adjacent to The Commons, across the street from Baylor College of Medicine. It can be accessed through sliding glass doors next to the elevator lobby of The Commons. Those doors are ID card protected, so if there is no one on the other side to let you in, just go out the Bertner side of The Commons and go in the main doors of the building. If you go in the main entrance of the building, please make sure you have your ID badge available for the security guard (BCM/Rice/UH, etc.).
There is wireless internet access in the building and the auditorium. Just access the MD Anderson guest network. Most of the seats in the auditorium will have an AC and Ethernet connection available as well as a microphone you can control to ask questions of the speakers. Please be careful of those microphones as they can be turned on accidentally if you lean your arms on the desks.
