Richard Lyn-Cook, M.D., M.P.H. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and is the current medical director of the School Based Clinics and Troubleshooters Mobile Program of Harris Health System. He is also an attending in the Combined Medicine-Pediatrics Resident Continuity Clinic. Dr. Lyn-Cook completed his undergraduate and medical studies at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. After medical school, Dr. Lyn-Cook completed a residency in Combined Internal Medicine Pediatrics at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City and stayed on for a research fellowship where he received an M.P.H. Shortly after moving to Houston, he accepted a position with Family and Community Medicine and with the Combined Medicine Pediatrics Residency. He has won several awards for service and teaching excellence. He has published articles related to influenza vaccination in inner city asthmatics and maintains a strong interest in childhood vaccinations.
