Dr. Alicia Monroe, Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic and Faculty Affairs
Working closely with Dr. Klotman and other members of senior leadership, Dr. Monroe’s primary responsibility is to oversee all educational activities across the College in alignment with our mission, vision and values.

The deans of our four schools retain primary responsibility for our educational programs, ensuring that all programs identify and achieve the highest standards to prepare our trainees to be leaders in their respective fields.
Dr. William Thomson, Associate Provost of Faculty Affairs
Faculty Affairs develops, implements and monitors policies, processes and procedures related to faculty to facilitate alignment of all faculty initiatives with the mission of the College. As associate provost of Faculty Affairs, Dr. Thomson works directly with the provost, other associate provosts, and key institutional administrators to (1) lead efforts to develop, implement, evaluate and manage institutional policies associated with faculty affairs (e.g., recruitment, hiring, retention, performance evaluation, and promotion); (2) oversee administrative matters related to the organization, staffing and operation of the Office of Faculty Affairs; (3) monitor and ensure College's faculty-related policies are in compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as institutional alignment with Baylor's mission and trends in academic health science center education; (4) support educational research on faculty affairs and disseminate scholarship that will advance national recognition of the College; and (5) counsel and advise the provost on faculty matters, particularly those that impact the mission of the College.
Dr. Nancy Moreno, Associate Provost of Faculty Development and Institutional Research
Ensuring all Baylor faculty members receive the support they need to thrive as educators and scholars is a prerequisite to fulfilling Baylor's mission. This includes assisting faculty in developing programs and resources to foster continuous improvement in the outcomes achieved by all Baylor learners.
As the associate provost of Faculty Development and Institutional Research, Dr. Moreno collaborates with key stakeholders across the College to assess needs, develop programs and evaluate strategies to (1) support faculty career development, particularly in the areas of scholarship, leadership, education and service, (2) ensure continued excellence in teaching and learning, and (3) advance institutional research and assessment related to educational outcomes.
Dr. Toi Harris, Associate Provost of Institutional Diversity and Student Services
Providing all Baylor students with the resources and services required to facilitate their success is our highest priority as educators. Our goal is to ensure that we graduate a diverse cadre of professionals prepared to lead the transformation of healthcare locally and globally.
As the associate provost for Institutional Diversity and Student Services, Dr. Harris leads and provides oversight for institutional diversity initiatives and programs, and for the centralized student support services in the Office of the Provost. She is responsible for guiding efforts to conceptualize, define, assess, nurture and cultivate diversity and a climate of inclusion in alignment with the institutional mission, vision and values. Dr. Harris plays a critical role in providing counsel and advice to the provost and institutional leaders on all diversity matters. Her responsibilities include providing a comprehensive range of student support services and programs designed to support the success of the students in all schools in alignment with Baylor's mission. She also plays a critical role in providing counsel and advice to the provost on all student services initiatives and monitoring of outcomes.
Ms. Lily Shih, Associate Provost of Academic Affairs
The development and application of systems of continuous quality improvement utilizing research-based processes and procedures throughout all education initiatives is an essential element to achieving our mission. As the associate provost of Academic Affairs, Ms. Shih works directly with the provost, other associate provosts, and key institutional administrators to ensure the effective operation of the Office of the Provost and education programs. She (1) leads efforts related to institutional effectiveness in alignment with Baylor’s mission; (2) monitors and manages accreditation activities; (3) oversees the Project Management Office and provides project support on key initiative to advance institutional and educational mission; (4) provides leadership in business operations to ensure efficient and effective processes and adequate technology enablement to support the education mission; and (5) supports the provost in strategic planning and execution of academic strategic initiatives.
Ms. Dee Bagley, Assistant Provost of Academic Finance and Resource Management
As the assistant provost of Academic Finance and Resource Management, Ms. Bagley leads efforts for finance and resource management functions specifically related to the education mission including schools and programs for the provost. She (1) implements consistent administrative and financial functions throughout the education mission; (2) oversees planning and preparation of annual budgets; (3) oversees education space management; and (4) prepares and distributes monthly financials reports and forecasts.
Dr. Ellen Friedman, Director of the Center for Professionalism
Dr. Ellen Friedman and the staff of the Center for Professionalism seek to create, support and sustain a culture of heightened professionalism and integrity among all members of the College's community, resulting in the best possible quality of education, healthcare, patient satisfaction and scientific advances.
