Bryan Burt, M.D. FACS, assistant professor and associate chief of General Thoracic Surgery, has been selected to receive the 25th Franklin H. Martin M.D,, FACS Faculty Research Fellowship by the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Burt received the award for his work titled, "Allogeneic Antibody Therapy for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer."
Dr. Burt is a general thoracic surgeon and thoracic surgical oncologist in the Division of General Thoracic Surgery. As director of General Thoracic Surgery Research, he concentrates his efforts on immunologic determinants of pleural mesothelioma and non-small cell lung cancer.
He is currently investigating the development of novel therapeutics for non-small cell lung cancer and pleural mesothelioma.
