TIRR, The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research, founded in 1959, is a 116 bed private rehabilitation hospital and is internationally recognized.

TIRR is nationally ranked in the top five among rehabilitation hospitals in the U.S. News and World Report. TIRR is a full service JCAHO and CARF accredited hospital specializing in medical and rehabilitative management of persons physically disabled by injury or disease.


Services Offered

Inpatient services include the Brain Injury Program, Challenge Program (which focuses on the skills that are critical for the transition to independent living, school or work once returned home), Spinal Cord Injury Program, Amputee Program, Specialty Rehabilitation Program, Day Hospital Program and Spasticity Management.

The TIRR Outpatient Clinic meets the various needs of individuals who require initial or continuing rehabilitation care and the monitoring of medical problems associated with a disability. Services range from initial evaluation and diagnosis to follow-up care and health maintenance. Specialty clinics are routinely scheduled for the major programs in addition to urology and urodynamic studies, podiatry, orthopedics, post polio, plastic surgery, gynecology, male impotence and infertility and special procedures for spasticity /contractures, motor point blocks, EMG’s and pain management. Comprehensive services in an outpatient setting are offered to manage a patient in the recovery of functional independence.
