Nov. 15, 2019 Workshop
Evidence-Based Medicine is defined as the integration of the best research evidence, clinical expertise and patient values. Teaching EBM to medical students, residents and faculty has been shown to be effective in improving EBM-based knowledge and skills. Evidence-based medicine skills in evaluating evidence has been recommended as a core competency by the ACGME both in pediatric and non-pediatric specialties. This day-long workshop aims to refresh the concepts of EBM that you have already learned and introduces new tools that will enable you to practice evidence-based medicine in your field.
This workshop is supported by a Texas Children's Hospital educational grant and The Center for Research, Innovation and Scholarship in Medical Education.
