Fellows in the Adolescent Medicine Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine will become adolescent health leaders demonstrating expertise in clinical service, teaching, scholarly activity, administration and advocacy. Fellows will participate in a broad clinical curriculum that includes primary, secondary and tertiary care, inpatient and outpatient, in medical center and community settings.

The Section of Adolescent Medicine and Sports Medicine provides comprehensive services to adolescents and young adults and offers specialized education and training with an interdisciplinary focus to the next generation of adolescent health care providers. The Adolescent Medicine interdisciplinary faculty includes four board-certified adolescent medicine physicians, three psychologists, and two dietitians who comprehensively address complex medical problems, including eating disorders, obesity, young women's healthcare needs, and chronic fatigue. The fellows will participate in a broad clinical curriculum that includes primary, secondary and tertiary care, inpatient and outpatient, in medical center and community settings including a homeless shelter facility, a family planning clinic, and a school-based clinic.

Training Sites

Fellows will demonstrate discipline-specific content expertise and interdisciplinary, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based clinical services to a diverse constituency. Clinical sites includes the Adolescent Clinic at Texas Children’s Hospital, which sees referrals from the community and the medical center.
