Clinical Training - Developmental Pediatrics
The educational programs of Developmental Pediatrics provide training for physicians, fellows, psychologists and social workers in the knowledge and treatment of childhood developmental disorders, with emphasis on the interdisciplinary and family-centered processes of evaluation and treatment of these disorders, approaches to counseling families with chronic complex disorders, and early identification and referral of patients.
The section offers an intensive, ACGME accredited fellowship program in Developmental Pediatrics for board certified pediatricians who elect to specialize in the treatment of neurodevelopmental disabilities. The program consists of a combined rotation through both public and private medical practices, giving residents greater exposure to patients with at-risk conditions and developmental disorders.
