The Desmond Neonatal Developmental Follow-up Clinic
This clinic, named in honor of Murdina M. Desmond, M.D., a former director of the Leopold L. Meyer Center, was established in 1994 to provide longitudinal follow-up and neurodevelopmental assessments for pre-term babies.
Babies born at 31 weeks or less gestation are seen. The clinic promises to promote the neurodevelopmental, behavioral and social outcomes of high-risk infants by removing existing barriers to early identification. The clinic helps to identify and refer for treatment infants who may have special needs or be at risk.
