Dr. Charles Macias

Welcome to the Center for Clinical Effectiveness (CCE) at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital. The implementation of Quality Improvement (QI) science implicitly attempts to accelerate the uptake of evidence, the evaluation of related patient and infrastructure outcomes and the study of these processes. The CCE supports all aspects of this endeavor through its domains of research, education, evidence evaluation, aggregation and translation of health information technology, safety and advocacy. It is our goal to enhance the power of the individual by aggregating the efforts of the academicians, the care providers, the care delivery infrastructure leaders, the community stakeholders, the payers and the policy makers for improving healthcare delivery for children.
