Stephen Stayer, M.D., division director
The division participates in training Baylor College of Medicine medical students and anesthesiology residents in the fundamentals of pediatric anesthesia. We also provide fellowship training in pediatric anesthesia. Newly renovated facilities have state-of-the-art equipment that facilitate provision of quality patient care and opportunities to enhance resident and fellowship education. We have an active role in the expansion of services to the West Campus hospital and the Maternity Center.
Our mission is to:
- Provide the highest quality patient care that meets national standards and is individualized and innovative.
- Train and educate residents, fellows, and other health care providers to promote safety and well-being of children who need anesthesia in the community.
- Cultivate leaders in the field of anesthesiology at hospital, state, national and international levels.
- Perform clinically significant research that can be translated into improved patient outcomes.
