Learning Activities
Sexuality is a major dimension of human behavior, and physicians are expected to be well informed about sexual function and dysfunction. This elective will facilitate students in becoming more comfortable with their own sexuality and will help clarify their own values about sexuality. The elective will increase students' awareness of the wide range of sexual attitudes which exist in their patient population. The elective will desensitize students to a broad range of sexual material, stimuli, and behavior, and enrich their ability to be compassionate, humanistic, and nonjudgmental with their patients.
