Statement of Goals:
The research elective must be coordinated in advance with the appropriate faculty in the Division and approved by Dr. Larry Hollier, Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery. Opportunities include clinical research which entails chart review for clinical reports, publishing and scientific presentations.
Learning Activities
Student on research elective can participate in ongoing research project or develop their own. The students are encouraged to participate in all research meetings in the Division and to submit their work to regional and national scientific meetings including the National Student Forum, the Plastic Surgery Research Council, and the American College of Surgeons Research Forum.
Evaluation Methods
An Elective Grade Evaluation Form must be returned to the Office of the Registrar in order to receive credit.
