Statement of Goals:
The elective in pediatric nephrology is designed to provide extra experience in the care of children with renal diseases, fluid and electrolyte disorders, hypertension and acute and chronic renal failure.
Learning Activities
The elective is useful to students wishing to supplement their knowledge for later careers in general pediatrics, nephrology, urology, emergency medicine, pediatric cardiology, rheumatology or intensive care. Each student participates as an extern with the Pediatric Nephrology Team.
