This elective offers the students experience in Pediatric Emergency Medicine focusing on the care of acutely ill and injured children.
Learning Activities
Throughout the elective the student works closely with Pediatric Emergency Medicine faculty to gain experience and facilitate learning. This clinical experience is in the Pediatric Emergency Center at Texas Children's Hospital.
Evaluation Methods
Course requirments: Five 8-hour shifts per week in the TCH Emergency Center. PEDIATRIC CORE ROTATION MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE REGISTRATION FOR THIS ELECTIVE.
