Statement of Goals:
By the end of the month, at a minimum, the student will be able to: 1. completely examine the acutely and chronically injured ankle and knee 2. know the basic principles of acute management of musculoskeletal injuries 3. perform the preparticipation sports evaluation 4. develop added knowledge and skill in one specific topic of sports medicine Hours: Most days 0800 to 1800, but some earlier training room Call, weekend or evening responsibilities: No call responsibilities, evening and weekends depend on event coverage
Learning Activities
• Clinical activities: Outpatient evaluation of musculoskeletal complaints in training room, school based clinic, TCH main campus and Health Centers • Procedures available: Physical Exam techniques, possible joint injection/ aspiration • Educational/learning activities: 1. Lecture series 2-3 times per week 2. Present 20 minute sports medicine
