|Statement of Goals:|
|Special Clinical Electives must be approved by Dr. Chris Finch for students desiring a special type of elective experience at BCM or an "away" clinical rotation at another institution. Special electives must have Department Coordinator approval to certify the course as equivalent to BCM Elective course offerings and acceptable to count toward the 32 Credit Graduation Requirement.
Pre-requisites for "away" rotations may vary according to the program offering the elective. An "away" rotation is generally reserved for fourth year medical students.
The BCM Pathology Department can take a maximum of 2 students per month participating in a special elective here at Baylor.|
|Students should briefly summarize the project before submitting to the department for approval. A copy of the summary and approval should be submitted to the Office of the Registrar for registration.|
|Students work closely with faculty and residents. The required evaluation forms are completed based on consensus of those who worked closely with the student.|
|When and Where to report on first day of service:|
