Statement of Goals:
The objective of this course is to give the student exposure to the histopathologic features of dermatologic disease. The clerkship involves daily sign-out of cases, participation in dermatopathology conferences, teaching conferences in dermatology and pathology, and selected dermatology clinics.
Learning Activities
The student is required to consult a standard dermatopathology textbook (such as Lever's Histopathology of the Skin or Murphy's Dermatopathology) available in the department or at the Jesse Jones Library.
Evaluation Methods
Students work closely with faculty and residents. The required evaluation forms are completed based on consensus of those who worked closely with the student.
