Statement of Goals:
A weekly seminar open to all first year students who have an interest in research opportunities available at Baylor College of Medicine, and especially for those interested in the year-long Medical Student Research Track.
Learning Activities
The seminar will be presented by potential faculty mentors and is designed to enrich the interdisciplinary training of medical students, increase students' appreciation of hypothesis-based clinical research and evidence-based medicine, and influence students to become more involved in basic or clinical research either in academic medicine or in private practice. A written evaluation of presented research will be required during the course.
