Statement of Goals:
Acquaint student with the latest procedures in minimally invasive surgery. Expose student to scientific principles and instrumentation that permits a minimally invasive surgical approach. Participate in surgery in multiple related surgical specialties to broaden the student's clinical base. Prepare the student for a career in minimally invasive surgery. The student will be encouraged to select and complete a project that is suitable for publication. -Monday PFW clinic, Tuesday BTH or, Wednesday or, Thursday or, Friday PFW clinic -morning rounds on patients prior to clinic or cases -grand rounds every other Wednesday morning
Learning Activities
. The student will be encouraged to use the simulation lab for laparoscopic skills when not in cases or clinic . The student will be provided reading materials during the course of the rotation . The student will be encouraged to select and complete a project that is suitable for publication
Evaluation Methods
We will use the form provided by the Registrar's Office, except in cases where Visiting Students provide a form from their own institution.
