Statement of Goals:
The elective will encompass all of the general aspects of Gynecology practice. These include office gynecology and operative gynecology including including pre- and post-op care of patients. Special attention will be given to the areas of menopause and per-menopause theraphy, work-up of the infertile couple, contraception, and minimally invasive surgery. Rotations through the Adolescent and Pediatric Gynecology Clinic at Texas Children's Hospital as well as the gynecology clinics at the public hospital, Ben Taub General Hospital, may be included.
Learning Activities
the students will receive all-around exposure to the routine of general gynecology as well as to the special areas listed above.
