Statement of Goals:
Clinical Elective: Counts toward 32 credit graduation requirement. Pre-requisites: Pre-requisites for "away" rotations may vary according to the program offering the elective. "Away" rotation are generally reserved for fourth year medical students. Special Clinical Electives must be approved by Dr. Robert Thalmann for students desiring a special type of elective experience at BCM or an "away" clinical rotation at another institution. Special electives must have Department Coordinator approval to certify the course as equivalent to BCM Elective course offerings and acceptable to count toward the 32 Credit Graduation Requirement.
Learning Activities
Students should briefly summarize the project before submitting to the department for approval. A copy of the summary and approval should be submitted to the Office of the Registrar for registration.
Evaluation Methods
Grade: H,HP, P, MP, F Narrative Evaluation An Elective Grade Evaluation form must be returned to the Office of the Registrar in order to receive credit. Credits: 4 weeks full-time, 8.0 Credits (each 4 weeks)
