Course Description & Learning Objectives: | |||
1) Rotate through Abdominal CT, Chest, Emergency Center, Interventional Radiology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Musculoskeletal and Neuroradiology (maximum one week in each subsection) 2) Review the online Radiology teaching file - located on the Baylor Radiology website - www.bcm.edu/departments/radiology - Go to the "Education" Tab - Under "Teaching Files" select "Elective Rotation Teaching Files". |

1) Physics Concepts & Modality Differences 2) Exam Ordering for different imaging modalities 3) Patient Safety in Radiology (Radiation Safety, Contrast Uses and Safety, MRI Safety, Imaging in Pregnancy). |

Evaluation Methods | |||
- Exam at the end of the four week rotation - Quality, content and delivery of a 10 minute Powerpoint presentation of an interesting case to be presented the last week of the rotation - Additional assignments - Daily contact with faculty and residents - Daily attendance and lectures attended during the four week elective. |
