Dr. Chamani was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. He spent three years studying in rabbinical school in Israel, before beginning his undergraduate studies at CUNY Brooklyn College. He then underwent medical training at NYU School of Medicine, where he developed an interest in Ob/Gyn, and graduated with Honors for his research on understanding the molecular, genetic, and epigenetic drivers of oocyte and early embryo development. His interests within Ob/Gyn remain broad, but he has developed a particular fascination with reproductive endocrinology and infertility. In his free time, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and son, biking, BBQing, playing guitar, and studying Talmud.
