Dr. Manisha Gandhi is a board certified obstetrician/gynecologist and maternal-fetal medicine specialist in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She is a native of Houston and attended Rice University where she obtained her BA in Biochemistry followed by medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. After medical school, she left Texas for her clinical training and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency and maternal-fetal medicine fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. During her residency, she was chosen to be an administrative chief resident and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.
After seven years in New York, Dr. Gandhi returned home to Houston to work in the Texas Medical Center and joined the Baylor faculty. Her professional memberships include the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. Her published research has involved the effect of increased body mass index on ultrasound accuracy.
Dr Gandhi sees patients at Baylor Clinic and supervises residents along with covering the ultrasound unit at Ben Taub General Hospital. Her interests include prenatal diagnosis and multiple gestations. She is currently interested in coordinating a program that incorporates patient counseling on genetics, nutrition, and maternal and fetal issues for twin and triplet gestations.
