Clinical Appointments:

Dr. Diaz-Arrastia is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and gynecologic oncology. She earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey's Rutgers Medical School in Piscataway. Her training includes an obstetrics and gynecology residency, and gynecologic oncology fellowship at the State University of New York (SUNY) Health Science Center.

Her clinical specialty is gynecologic oncology. She is also interested in fertility preservation for young women with gynecologic tumors and translational research in cervical neoplasia (precancerous changes in cervical cells). Before joining Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Arrastia completed tenures at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and the State University of New York (SUNY) Health Science Center at Brooklyn.
