Fetal Intervention Program

The fetal therapy program at Texas Children's Center is designed to help referring physicians assist their patients through their special pregnancy. The program involves skilled diagnosis of fetal anomalies and problems, coordinated management of care, and compassionate support during and after pregnancy.

Our goal is to reduce the stress and anxiety associated with the fetal condition by ensuring referring physicians, parents and patients have all the information available to receive the best care possible.

Renowned fetal surgeons and center co-directors Oluyinka Olutoye, M.D., Ph.D., and Darrel Cass, M.D., are pleased to welcome their new colleague, Michael Belfort, M.D., leading expert in fetal treatment and intervention. Dr. Belfort will provide a number of fetal intervention therapies. His expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of twin-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS), as well as other complicated monochorionic multiple gestations, including discordant fetal anomalies, isolated fetal growth lag and Twin Reverse Arterial Perfusion (TRAP) sequence.
