  • Rashieda HatcherRashieda Hatcher Cellular senescence is considered as an important tumor-suppressing mechanism. Results from our lab uncovered an unexpected role of anaphase-promoting complex in the prevention of premature senescence by regulating the expression of Ets2. Understanding this role of APCCdh1 will advance our knowledge about the regulation of cellular senescence and may shed light on how tumor cells escape replicative senescence to become immortal.
  • Jean Philippe YorkJean Philippe York I'm interested in the role that cell cycle control genes play in development. Research focuses on the use of genetically modified mice to track cell lineages and gene expression, with a focus on understanding the development of the genitourinary system. To accomplish this aim mice have been generated with genes containing fluorescent tags, conditional knockouts, and TAP (tandem affinity purification) tags to allow the purification of protein complexes.
