Clinical Trials

Clinical trials are conducted at the major Baylor College of Medicine affiliated hospitals and at the BaylorClinic.

There are ongoing studies of primary pulmonary hypertension, cystic fibrosis, asthma, bronchitis, and COPD.

Trials at the Ben Taub General Hospital include asthma, COPD, ARDS, sepsis/septic shock, and TB/AIDS.

A major clinical research project at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center is a study of lung volume reduction surgery in conjunction with the Surgical Service. Other trials include sepsis/septic shock and treatment of pulmonary infection.
