Research & Clinical Interests
Dr. Tweardy's clinical research interests include the impact of trauma and shock on host susceptibility to hospital-acquired infections. His basic research interests include signal transduction events activated in cells and tissues by cytokines, focusing on signal tranducer and activator of transcription (STAT) 3.
Dr. Tweardy has over one hundred publications, in both basic science and clinical research.
