Our General Internal Medicine residents train in the following four locations:
- Baylor Clinic
- Ben Taub General Hospital
- Quentin Mease Community Hospital
- Michael E. Debakey Veteran Affairs Medical Center
Our faculty are leaders in undergraduate medical education whose roles include: senior associate dean of Undergraduate Medical Education and course directors for major courses such as Patient, Physician, and Society 3 (all MS2s), Evidence Based Medicine (all MS2s), medicine core clerkship, and APEX (capstone for all MS4s).
Section members serve leadership roles in the residency program including associate program director, director of the Ambulatory Clinic, and director of Ambulatory Care rotation.
The section also participates in federally funded Primary Care Research Fellowship.
