Dr. Hoxhaj joined Baylor College of Medicine and Ben Taub in 2008. He previously served as medical director at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine’s Department of Emergency Medicine. He was also director of quality assurance, risk management, compliance, and customer service at Mount Sinai. Dr. Hoxhaj pursued advanced management training at Columbia University (MPH, 2005) and the University of Tennessee (MBA, 2007).
Girish Bobby Kapur, M.D., M.P.H.
Associate Chief of Emergency Medicine Educational Affairs
Dr. Kapur, a graduate of Baylor College of Medicine, completed his emergency medicine residency at Yale and completed his International Medicine Fellowship at Harvard where he also completed his MPH. Prior to coming to BCM he was the international medicine fellowship director at George Washington University. Dr. Kapur has more than seven years experience establishing Emergency Medicine systems and training programs in countries such as Turkey, India, China, and Colombia.
Angela Siler Fisher, M.D.
Associate Chief of Emergency Medicine Operations and Public Affairs
Dr. Angela Siler Fisher, formerly a medical director with Greater Houston Emergency Physicians, has joined us as director of EC Operations at Ben Taub Hospital to assist in optimizing patient care. She recently received the coveted Horizon Award by the American College of Emergency Physicians, recognizing only two leaders in the specialty of Emergency Medicine per year.
