Structure of Training

Content

The training will be provided through a variety of teaching and learning methods that will focus on the needs of the learner. This will include:

  • Appointment of a mentor for attendees
  • Development of individual and group learning plans
  • Pre-reading materials
  • Presentations by Baylor Family Medicine faculty
  • Facilitated group discussion and tasks
  • Recorded clinical and teaching scenarios using simulated patients
  • Hospital, community health center and clinics visits
  • Review and weekly feedback sessions

On average, each day will have six-seven contact hours, including structured feedback and question and answer time.
