Favorite Part of the Baylor EM Residency: The diversity of residents and faculty at Baylor is unparalleled. I am so proud to be at a program that values diversity and I never take it for granted. Additionally, my co-residents are incredible and truly feel like family. Everyone is down-to-earth, friendly, and knowledgable.
Interesting Previous Career: I used to work at a frozen yogurt shop and got 5 lbs. of free frozen yogurt everyday.

Close to the gulf for some nice year-round fishing or boating, Galveston has festivals almost every month.

My co-residents and attending's have a patient-first/work-hard mentality while being down to earth. I actually hang out with these guys and couldn't have asked for a better group.

Favorite Part of Living in Houston: My favorite part about living in Houston, Texas is the large city feel and awesome weather all year long. Houston has everything a large city has to offer from major sports teams to great eateries to a great zoo. Having a great zoo to visit is imperative to residency success. You can truly never run out of things to do.
Favorite Part of the Baylor EM Residency: My favorite part about Baylor EM residency is the amount of diversity in the program in conjunction with the faculty that are willing to teach with a side by side approach. The faculty are of the most accomplished and humble group of educators I have met. From the moment I came to Baylor, I was comfortable and felt the support to do great work. Lastly, I feel the program is one of the most diverse in the country and having a diverse medical team caring for a diverse population makes the medicine even that much more sweet.

Favorite Part of Living in Houston: Houston is such a culturally diverse city, which means we have one of the best food scenes in the country! Also the weather. I love never feeling cold, and I most likely won't have to drive in snow while I live here.
Favorite Part of the Baylor EM Residency: My co-residents are incredible. We have such a diverse group and I continuously learn so much from everyone. Our program is very resident-driven, and we're always encouraged to give feedback and discuss ways to make improvements. Also, our patient population is great to learn from. We see interesting pathology every day, and a lot of our patients are very complex. I love knowing that when I'm done with residency at BCM, I will be able to handle just about anything!
Interesting Previous Career: I was a student athletic trainer for the Notre Dame football team in undergrad (Go Irish!). And for a few years before med school, I worked for a physician in Denver who is one of the team doctors for the Broncos.
