More than 50 postdoctoral fellows pursue research in the laboratories of faculty in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Our department continually works on achieving the highest quality labs so that postdocs can learn in an environment that is innovative and thriving and postdocs have access to some of the most innovative core laboratories in the country.
Our postdocs learn research that opens doors to innovative science in a majority of employment fields. We encourage postdocs to develop a structured plan for their career objectives and their professional development needs so they will have a more fulfilling and rewarding postdoctoral experience.
Areas include computational biology, cancer, structural biology, development, gene expression and regulation, membrane dynamics, metabolomics, molecular basis of disease, proteomics, systems biology, and nanomedicine, to name a few. Candidates who wish to become postdoctoral fellows in the department should contact individual faculty members.
